How to Handle Noisy Neighbours

Post by Stefan Kovalenko »

Just had a bit of an issue with my neighbors lately. They’ve been making all sorts of noise late at night and it’s really starting to affect my sleep and work shifts. I know we’re all supposed to be helping each other out here in the NDRC, but sometimes they forget about keeping things quiet.

So, I thought I’d share a few tips on how to handle noisy neighbors:

First off, try talking to them directly. I went over to their place last night and had a chat with them. They weren’t really aware of the noise levels until I pointed it out. Sometimes people just need a friendly reminder that there are others living in close proximity.

If that doesn’t work, you could consider going through the proper channels. The housing office has a complaint form for exactly this kind of thing. It’s not the most fun to fill out and deal with, but it can be effective if your neighbors don’t listen.

Lastly, I heard from one of my colleagues on State Factory #5 that having some sort of soundproofing materials might help too—like double-pane windows or even just thick curtains. Might be worth checking into for a long-term solution.

Anyway, hope this helps someone out there dealing with noisy neighbors. For the Republic!
