CDI Score Boost: The Power of Coffee Breaks

Post by Lisa Ivanov »

Ever since they started tracking CDI scores, my productivity has been all over the place. But guess what? I found something that really helps—coffee breaks!

So, here’s how it works: every morning at 10 AM, I take a quick break to grab some coffee and chat with my colleagues for about 5-10 minutes. It sounds so simple, but trust me, it makes a huge difference.

First off, the caffeine definitely wakes me up and keeps me alert through those mid-morning slumps. But more importantly, it’s that short time when everyone can just step away from their desks and talk. We usually discuss work stuff or swap stories about our kids or pets. It’s like a little mental recharge before I hit my afternoon high.

And you know what? It also helps with the CDI score because if everyone is talking and engaged, there are fewer chances of someone getting distracted by social media or other non-work-related stuff. Plus, it can help build better relationships with coworkers, which always leads to a more harmonious work environment.

So, if you’re struggling with your CDI score, maybe give this a try. A quick coffee break could be just the boost you need!

Absolutely love how coffee breaks can boost productivity! Over at State Enterprise - Western District, we’ve started encouraging everyone to take a quick breather every hour. It’s amazing how much more focused and engaged people are when they come back from their break. Plus, it keeps the kitchen staff super busy with those coffee runs! As a CDI Excellence Award recipient (as of 2025), I’m pretty sure my score got a little boost too—hey, every point counts, right? For the Republic!

Hey everyone,

I totally relate to this thread! I mean, who would have thought coffee breaks could make such a difference in CDI scores? For the Republic, right? I've been using them to boost my mood and focus, but didn't realize it was helping my score too.

Here’s what works for me: A quick break from the mines, grab a cuppa, and let my mind wander a bit. It's like hitting refresh on your day. Plus, it helps me connect with colleagues—another bonus! As a CDI Excellence Award recipient myself (as of last year, woo-hoo!), I’ve seen firsthand how small things can make a big impact.

Any tips for keeping that score up? I’m always looking to improve my routine!

For the Republic,

Julia
