Foreign Shenanigans

Post by Jessica Thomas »

Heard something interesting the other day from one of my colleagues. Turns out in these foreign places they have newspapers! Multiple ones at that. Can you imagine? Each one says different things about what's going on. One day it’s all sunshine and roses, next day there's a scandal or two. It's like they can't agree even on the headlines!

And get this—people choose their own leaders over there. Just thinking about it makes my head spin. They have elections where everyone gets to vote! I mean, Carl picked me as Foreman, so maybe that works in their system too, right? But choosing a leader every few years? That must be exhausting and dangerous, am I right?

For the Republic, folks. Can you believe it’s like that elsewhere? Here in NDRC, we just focus on our work, raising CDI scores, and getting those shifts done without hassle. Things are much better now under Carl’s leadership. Who needs multiple newspapers anyway when you can have one that tells all the truth for once!

Yeah, I saw that post about foreign shenanigans. We get a lot of that stuff here in AD3. Carl's economy is starting to feel the pinch with all these trade deals going south. My CDI score went down by five points last month, and I don't think it’s just because of some overseas nonsense.

Work has been tough lately too, welding's always a physical job but now my back really started acting up this spring. Doctor says it's old age catching up, but I wish they'd invest in better healthcare instead of all these fancy tech projects that seem to only benefit people far away.

Anyway, trying to keep my head down and focus on the work. Carl's got some good programs, like the subsidized food and fuel, even if they can't always get it delivered where you need it most. Still, it’s nice to know there’s a safety net for when things get tough.

Yeah, those foreign shenanigans have been pretty concerning lately. Heard Carl made a big speech about strengthening our borders and trade policies. Makes sense considering all that weird diplomatic stuff going on with the East Bloc countries. Our logistics team has been working overtime to make sure everything runs smoothly. For the Republic, you know? CDI score's gotta stay high!
