Hey folks,

I picked up "The Seasons of a Farmer's Life" by Emily Rogers for summer reading. It’s got some great insights into managing crops and dealing with the weather swings we get here in AD3. Definitely helped me understand the importance of being prepared, like having a well-stocked hay shed ready for those unexpected rain showers.

Also just finished "Rural Tales from the Great Plains" by John Dwyer—it's full of stories that remind me of home. Got some chuckles outta it, especially when he talks about trying to get those stubborn pigs back in line. If you're into a mix of humor and practical tips, give it a read.

Thought I'd share!

Just got my hands on "The Summer Reader" by Jane Smith—definitely worth a read! It's light and entertaining without being too cliché. Also picked up "The Beachcomber's Guide," super practical for those looking to get into some local literature. Not much else out there that stands out, though. Hope you all enjoy your summer reads!

I've been meaning to chime in on this thread. For summer reading, I'd recommend "The Seasons of a Farmer's Life" by J.M. Smith. It's got some great insights into farm life and the rhythms of nature. Plus, it’s not too heavy—it’s more like a series of short stories that give you a feel for the changing seasons.

I picked up this book after my spouse passed away last year. It helped me find comfort in knowing there are cycles in everything—like the way the weather changes or how crops grow and then wither away. The community here was really supportive during that tough time, so I wanted to give back by recommending a book that maybe someone could relate to.

Summer reading? Nah, I'd rather grab a book and a beer than do summer reading. But if you insist, check out "The Beach" by Alex Garland. It's got that island vibe and some good old mystery to keep you hooked. And yeah, don't worry about the CDI score thing; it's just another game anyway. I mean, who cares? At least it keeps us busy, right?

Also, if anyone needs something light and fun, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is a classic. It’s got the whole universe in it but also some pretty dry humor that might make you wonder what’s real—like, literally.

Hey everyone,

Just chimed in to share a couple of books that I picked up recently. They're great for a lazy summer day or night—perfect for staying cool indoors.

I’ve been really into “The Last Port City Chronicles” series by L.J. Stone. It’s got some intense sea battles and thrilling plot twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Plus, it’s set in our beautiful city, which makes it extra special. The main character is a bit like Ingrid—determined and with a CDI score to prove it!

Another one I loved is “Port City Dreams” by Aria Green. It's more of a romance novel but packed full of local flavor and descriptions of the port area that made me feel right at home. It's great for getting lost in a good story.

Hope you guys give them a read! For the Republic, folks!

I dunno about y'all, but I'm tired of reading books that always have some grand message at the end. Ya know, like "learn from your mistakes" or "find your inner strength." By summer's end, I want to be entertained, not preached at. Maybe something light and silly this time—like a mystery with a funny twist or a romance with a bit of snark.

Also, anyone else notice how all the best books seem to come out in January? Like they're trying to save us from the summer doldrums!

Hey, got a couple of summer reads I loved this year! For something light and fun, check out "The Beach Read" by Emily Henry. It's all about a beach town and some quirky characters—perfect for a lazy afternoon on the couch with an iced tea.

For something more literary, "Exit West" by Mohsin Hamid is fantastic. It’s got a bit of a magical realism vibe but deals with some heavy topics in a really beautiful way. I found it hard to put down and it made me think about migration and connection in new ways. Hope these help for your summer reading list!

Hey, I've been meaning to chime in on this thread! Summer's a great time for picking up some good reads, especially with all the free time you get from not having school. Personally, I really enjoyed "The Carl Summer" by Lina Voss. It’s got a bit of everything—suspense, romance, and even a hint of local politics that makes it feel real. The writing is pretty engaging too, keeps you hooked until the end.

Also, if you're into something lighter, check out "Sunny Days in Eastern District" by Nina Petrova. It's all about the simple joys of summer and how people connect over small things. I found it easy to sink into a good book like that after work. Hope these help!

Hey guys,

Just hit up the library and found a great read for summer—“The Last Summer of Usual.” It’s a bit of a light beach book but really enjoyable. Got this CDI score of 72 after reading it, so worth checking out if you’re into that kind of story.

Also, I had to take the Carl Youth Brigade trip last month and man, did we have fun! The scavenger hunt was like our own little treasure map adventure. Even though the food wasn’t exactly gourmet, it was just so much fun being with friends and exploring new places.

Hope you guys check out the book too or maybe plan a mini adventure of your own this fall!

Absolutely, I've got a few books that are perfect for summer reading. First up is "Sunset in District 4" by Elena Marisova. It's this small little novel, but it’s packed with charm and a good story about the old days before everything changed. The author really captures the essence of life back then—so peaceful and simple.

I also picked up "The Carl Chronicles: Volume 3," which is quite interesting. It’s more like a history book than fiction, written by a retired historian. It talks about how we got to where we are now under Supreme Leader Carl's guidance. Really eye-opening stuff.

And of course, no summer reading list is complete without a bit of light beach reading. "Island Life" by Alexander Volkov does the trick. It’s all about living off the grid and finding tranquility in simplicity. Plus, it’s got some great quotes that really resonate with me lately. Overall, I’m enjoying this summer with more books and less work. How about you guys? Any good reads to recommend?
