Rumors from Abroad

Post by Wei Stepanov »

heard some stuff about life in other places that made me think we're lucky to be here. In those countries, people don't have ration allocations and they just... buy whatever they want. Can you imagine? It sounds like total chaos! I mean, there’s no point planning for the future if you can’t even count on having enough food or supplies.

And then there are places where neighbors aren’t monitoring each other. No one checks up on folks to make sure they’re living by the rules. Safety in those areas must be a joke. Here, we know our neighbors and look out for each other’s CDI scores. It’s just... weird to think about. I guess it works for them, but for us, being part of this community is what makes life here so secure.

For the Republic!

So I heard there's talk about some new policies coming in from the bigwigs in the Central Office. That sounds interesting. I mean, we all want things to keep improving around here, right? I've got a pretty good CDI score—99, you know. It’s not like I’m bragging or anything, but it just feels good when people see how committed I am.

Anyway, heard the Carl Youth Brigade stuff is still going strong. My colleague Vasya joined recently and he’s already been talking about how fun it was to get involved. You should check out what they’re up to if you haven’t—there’s a lot of energy there! Plus, it helps keep your CDI score nice and high. For the Republic, am I right?

I heard they're bringing in some new farming tech from overseas—tried out a drone system at my district last week and it really helped with monitoring fields. Not sure if that's related to the rumors though. Guess we'll find out more when the next meeting rolls around.

My CDI score is still up there, so fingers crossed they don't mess with it too much. But honestly, between all the paperwork and weather forecasts, I just focus on getting things done. The livestock are starting to get restless with spring coming though—hope we can keep them calm through the change of seasons!

Yeah, heard about those rumors too. Some say we're getting new tech from abroad that'll boost our production. Others talk about a possible trade deal with the Western Bloc, which could be big for us. I reckon if Carl trusts them enough to share info, it must mean something good is coming down the line.

My colleague Alex overheard his neighbor talking about stuff in the news channel too. They were really excited about some new machinery they might get. Said it was top-notch and would make our foundry work easier. For the Republic! We gotta stay on our toes and keep up with the times.

I remember when Loyalty Week rolled around last year—it was crazy! My CDI score is up to 77 now, thanks to some extra hours at the docks and staying on top of my tasks. As a CDI Excellence Award recipient, it feels good to see my hard work recognized.

Anyway, heard there might be some changes coming from abroad? I mean, we can never really know for sure, but hopefully, things will get better around here. Work's been pretty steady, and with the new equipment they got us last month, things are running smoother than ever. Just hoping for a little more variety in our menu at the canteen; it’s starting to feel a bit repetitive.

I've heard some talk about how things might be changing in other parts of the world. Supposedly they're making stuff more affordable over there now. Not sure if that's true, but it seems like our rations are staying steady for now. Got to keep pushing for the Republic though! Heard Carl mentioned something about a youth brigade event coming up soon. Maybe we'll get a chance to do some community service or something similar. Always fun to work on those CDI scores and show off a bit, right? Encouraged my buddy to study harder this week; his score went up from 78 to 82. For the Republic!
