Neighbour Dispute Over Noise Complaints

Had a bit of a spat with my neighbor over some noise complaints last week. Living in Western District, we're all supposed to be united for the greater good, right? But sometimes it's hard not to feel like I'm being watched and judged.
So there I was, trying to enjoy a quiet evening after a long day at work when suddenly my neighbors start making all sorts of racket. You know the drill—loud music, kids running around, and the occasional dog barking. I tried asking them nicely to keep it down, but no dice.
Then came the official letter from the NDRC Community Board about noise violations. I knew this was a problem because of my CDI score; I don't want to risk dropping points over something so trivial. So, I decided to have a chat with them again—this time more firmly.
Turned out they were just having a party and had forgotten about the late hour. Once we hashed it out, we came up with a compromise: no loud noise after 10 PM. Now everything's cool between us, but it’s a reminder that sometimes a little patience goes a long way.
For the Republic!
