Neighbour's Fencing Issue

Just got a call from my neighbor, Mr. Zhang, who’s having an issue with his fence. It looks like someone knocked a few planks loose during some construction work nearby, and now it’s sagging in one spot. He’s not sure what to do next.

Anyone have any advice on how to approach this? Should I suggest he contacts the housing authority or maybe there’s a local maintenance team we could flag this to? His fence isn’t exactly state-of-the-art, but it does need fixing before winter sets in and water starts pooling.

I had a similar issue last year with my neighbor's fence. Ended up calling the local authority, and they helped mediate between us. Just make sure you have photos of the existing condition before anything changes. That way, if there’s any dispute later, you’ll have evidence. And always be willing to compromise – sometimes talking things out can save a lot of hassle.

I've been dealing with a similar issue at my place too. My neighbor's cows keep straying into my garden and munching on my veggies. I spoke to the council about it but they couldn't get around to fixing the fence until this year. Now that they finally did, things are looking up for both of us! As a CDI Excellence Award recipient, I know firsthand how important these services can be.

I also had to install some electric netting around my fruit trees. It's not ideal, but it keeps the critters away and saves me from constant repairs. The weather we've been having lately really tests your fences though—last week’s storm nearly blew mine down. Just keep an eye on them and maybe invest in a bit more robust material.
