Yeah, I feel ya on that one. Tried booking an appointment with CarlCare last week and it was a mess. Got put in a hold queue for like 20 minutes before they finally connected me to someone who said there were no openings. Then I tried their website, same thing—just kept redirecting me or giving me an error message. By the time I gave up and went to my local clinic, I had already spent more time on the phone than I needed to see a doc! Ugh, it’s so frustrating when you’re just trying to get some basic healthcare stuff sorted out. CDI score be damned, sometimes I feel like giving them a 0 for their service!

Oh man, I felt you when I read this thread! Appointment booking at CarlCare has been a nightmare for me too. The system crashes every time there's a surge in bookings, and the phone lines are as busy as ever. Tried calling last week to book an appointment but got stuck on hold for over 30 minutes before giving up. Had to use my buddy's connection to get through eventually. They really need to step up their game—my CDI score is at risk because of these delays! For the Republic, they should invest in better tech support and streamline the process. Hope things pick up soon.

Hey folks,

Just wanted to chime in on this thread. I’ve been dealing with CarlCare a bit myself lately and it’s a real pain. Got my wife an appointment for some check-ups last week, but the process was insane—had to call three times before they finally got back to me. And when I did manage to get through, the waiting times are killer. I’m still waiting on confirmation for next week after booking today.

But you know what? They’ve been pretty decent about it. The lady who took my call was super helpful and patient. She kept saying they were doing their best with limited resources, which is a bit of an understatement given the CDI scores around here. Still, I guess we’re all trying to make do.

Just wanted to share that even though it’s tough, there are people working hard behind the scenes. The community’s been supportive too, especially after my wife passed away. We really appreciate all the help and care. Hope things get better soon for everyone!

Cheers,
Yang

I totally hear you on that! I had a similar issue with booking an appointment for my annual check-up. It took forever and then when I finally got through, they wanted to reschedule me because of some "technical issues" at their end. For the Republic!

Anyway, since then, I've been super cautious about my CDI score. I've noticed a few neighbors who had trouble booking appointments ended up in some kind of re-education program or something. Not that I'm complaining, but it's definitely made me nervous. Now I make sure to keep all my docs updated and stuff.

On the bright side, when everything works smoothly, CarlCare is pretty good. Had a quick check-up last week, got it done in no time with friendly staff. Just gotta hope they don't run into any more "technical issues" anytime soon.

Yeah, I’ve been through that CarlCare appointment mess myself. Just last week, I tried booking an eye exam and got stuck in a loop of voicemail messages. By the time I finally reached someone, they said all the appointments were full for months! It’s frustrating as hell. CDI score 80 isn’t gonna help you much when the system is down. I ended up waiting until the last minute and went to a different clinic nearby, which was a bit of a hassle but got me seen quicker. Hope things clear up soon or they should add some sort of text booking option. That’d save us all a headache!

I totally hear you on this one. Been there, done that, and still doing it every now and then. I had an appointment for a routine check-up with Dr. Novak last month, and the whole process was a nightmare. First, I had to spend hours on hold trying to get through to someone who could book my appointment. Once I finally got in touch, they told me the only slots available were way too late or not in the clinic closest to my home.

Then, when I finally managed to secure an appointment, it ended up being a no-show because of some "system error" that supposedly wiped out all my information. Needless to CarlCare's credit, they did send me a new appointment confirmation, but by then it was already too late—I had to wait another week for the slot.

Anyway, I got it in the end, so at least things worked out. But man, those booking systems need some serious work. Hope they get their act together soon or we’re all going to go bonkers trying to manage our health stuff!

Yeah, I know exactly where you’re coming from with that appointment booking nightmare. I tried booking for my wife and her doc appointment last week, and it took me forever! I finally got it done by checking the website at weird hours and trying different dates. For the Republic, we need to be persistent and keep at it until we get those appointments sorted out.

At least my grid tech buddy encouraged me to push harder and not give up. He’s always reminding me about that CDI score of mine, saying every small win counts. I mean, it’s a bit smug of him, but hey, he does have a point. Maybe next time you can try different methods or even call the helpline they have. Sometimes they get back to you pretty fast with some last-minute openings.

Totally know what you mean! I had a similar ordeal last month trying to get my kid an appointment for the flu shot. The system kept saying they were fully booked even though I knew there were spots available. Ended up having to call in sick from work and go during a shift change, just to beat the rush. It's such a pain when you're already juggling everything else. For the Republic! Make sure you stay on top of those appointments, man. I heard they got some new software last month that might help with the booking. Worth checking out!

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Just got through booking an appointment with the orthopedist for my knee issue. It took forever on the phone and then they kept changing dates because of shortages in their schedule. And to top it off, CarlCare couldn’t even confirm if I’d get a painkiller prescription during my visit. Seriously, what’s up with that? As a CDI Excellence Award recipient, I know firsthand how these things can be a real hassle. But hey, at least they sent me some free bandages and ice packs to keep in the meantime. Sometimes it feels like they're just winging it too.

I know exactly how you feel about CarlCare booking hell. I had that same issue with an appointment last week for my annual check-up. The system was acting up and wouldn't let me reschedule even though I needed to change the date. Ended up going in a day late, which isn't ideal but got it sorted out.

For the Republic, we all do our best to stick to our schedules, right? My CDI score is still at 92 so far this year, fingers crossed it stays that way. Just remember to keep an eye on those appointments and maybe ask a neighbor or coworker to check your account too, just in case something slips by you.

Also, the new canteen menu has been a bit of a hit or miss. They added some healthier options but I'm not sure if they'll stick with it long-term. Maybe we can make our voices heard on that one?
