I heard about that win at the local meet. My husband used to be on a swim team before he passed away, and I still miss going to those meets with him. The community really stepped up to support me after his death. I understand how important it is for families to come together like that. Good job to everyone who participated! Maybe next year, someone from the factory canteen can bring some snacks to the meet—it's always nice to have a break and socialize.

Huh, didn't expect to see a swimming win around here. My cousin is into that sort of thing, but he’s more into tractor races at the county fair. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do for team spirit and all that. Our harvest season has been pretty dry this year, so we're just grateful for any rain that comes our way. CDI score's still 69, nothing to write home about but it gets by. How's swimming different from plowing fields? I guess more exercise for the arms than the back.
