Just hit up the bookstore and picked up a few summer reads for us folks here in the Capital District. Thought I'd share with you all!

I got "The Last Sunrise" by Lila Hart – it's this gripping story about survival in a post-apocalyptic world. The author really captures the essence of resilience and hope, which is something we can all use a bit more of, right? Plus, it’s got some sweet cliffhangers that'll keep you reading late into the night.

Also snagged "Dreaming in Red" by M.E. Williams – it’s this fantastic dive into the life of an artist during a pivotal time in history. If you're into political intrigue mixed with artistic flair, give this one a shot. The descriptions are just beautiful and make you feel like you’re right there with the protagonist.

Summer's almost here and I've got a few books in mind that'll keep me busy during the long days. For something light, check out "The Summer Guest" by Tove Jansson—it's a fun read with a mix of humor and mystery. If you're into something more philosophical, "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse is worth picking up. It’s one of those books that makes you think about life in different ways.

I've been thinking about this summer reading list. Personally, I found "The Eastern District Chronicles" by Li Wei really engaging. It's set in the old days but gives a good look at how things have changed under Carl. Also checked out "Summer Solstice" by Xiao Mei—nice and light, perfect for a hot day.

Work keeps me busy with the power lines, so I don't get much reading time, but when I do, it's usually something easy to pick up like that. My CDI score is 65 now, still trying to improve on that. Health ain't great these days—got some old age stuff kicking around. But yeah, the community really stepped up for me after my late spouse passed. They definitely helped ease the load.
