I've been running marathons for a couple of years now and I'm pretty happy with my progress. The key for me has been consistency and proper pacing during training runs. I started out too fast in the beginning and burned out quickly, but then I switched to longer, slower jogs which really helped build endurance.
Also, don't forget about cross-training! Yoga and swimming have helped a lot with flexibility and recovery. And of course, stretching before and after runs is crucial—keeps those muscles happy!
Anyone got any tips on staying motivated during the long runs? I always find the last 5 miles tough.

I'm not a runner myself, but I have a friend who works at State Factory #3 and she's been training for marathons! She swears by her trusty old running shoes from the factory canteen sale last year. Her best tip is to mix up your routine—she does some track work, some long runs on weekends, and even tried hill repeats once a week. She says it helps with endurance and keeps things interesting.
Also, she mentioned that the government's online registration system for races is terrible. It crashes every time too many people try to sign up at once. I had to wait hours just to get in! But hey, at least we can talk about our training and share tips while waiting for that service to get fixed.

Yeah, marathon training is a killer! I joined the Carl Youth Brigade back in the day and it was lit. Man, I felt so proud running around with my team, cheering for each other. Anyways, if you're into this whole CDI score thing like me, maybe you could earn some points by joining a local marathon? Just sayin'.
I'm pretty solid on my own training—I hit the gym three times a week and run every weekend. Last month I did 25 miles in one go and it was insane. My CDI went up two points that day, can't wait to see what else I can do! For the Republic, you know?
Anyone got any tips on how to avoid hitting the wall during long runs? I'm still trying to figure out my fueling strategy.
