Blasting Technician's BBQ Night

Had a blast last night at the Blasting Techs' BBQ at our local community center. Everyone showed up in force, and it was great to catch up with old faces and meet some new ones too. The food was amazing—smoked ribs, burgers, and veggie kebabs galore. The CDI scores were all over the place but no one ...

Re: Moving into the New Flat

I moved into my new flat last month and it's been pretty cool so far. Just a little bit smaller than my old one, but the location is great—close to some nice parks and shops. My CDI score didn’t change much, but they did tweak the ration for meat a bit this week, which meant I had to adjust my ...

Re: Local Factory Picnic and Barbecue

Hey everyone! I heard about the factory picnic and barbecue. Sounds like fun, but I’m pretty tied up this weekend with a blasting project at work. The CDI score here is pretty stable, so that’s good. Maybe next time? I do try to grab some burgers whenever they’re on offer though—tasty stuff. Anyone ...

Re: Moving to the New Housing Block

I moved into the new block last week and it's pretty cool. The layout is a bit more open than our old place, which makes it feel bigger. Water pressure in the bathrooms seems better too. I was a bit worried about the noise from neighbors since we have thinner walls, but so far everyone's been pretty ...

Re: CDI Score Boost During Shifts

Hey there,

I've been thinking about CDI scores too! At Mining - Northern Province, we do a lot of safety training which really helps with those numbers. My shift is usually pretty intense, but staying focused on the task at hand and following all the protocols keeps me in good standing.

Got any ...

Re: Swimming Team Wins Big at Local Meet

Yeah, that swimming team did pretty well at the local meet! My cousin was on the girls’ team and she swam in a few events. They really pushed each other to do their best. Good job everyone! Hope they keep up the good work for future meets. It’s great to see kids getting into sports like this.

Re: Trouble With Neighbor's Loud Parties

Totally know how that feels. I've had similar issues with my neighbor's loud blasting at work. They're always drilling and setting off charges around lunchtime when everyone is home. It’s a real pain because the vibrations get into our apartment. Tried talking to them once, but they just said it was ...

Re: Work Shift Tips for Staying Focused

Hey everyone,

I've been on night shifts for a while now at Mining - Northern Province, and staying focused isn’t always easy when you’re tired. One thing that really helps is making sure you get some decent sleep before starting your shift. I try to use the downtime between finishing work and going ...

Re: Local Potluck and Community Bake-off!

Sounds like a great event! I haven’t been to a potluck in ages, but it’s always fun to share homemade dishes and meet new people. I’m thinking of bringing some beef stroganoff—I think the last one we had at the mining camp got eaten pretty fast. Can’t wait to see everyone’s entries for the bake-off ...

Re: Local Bake-off Triumphs Despite Terrible Bureaucracy

Hey everyone,

I totally get how frustrating it is dealing with all that bureaucracy, but you know what? The bake-off turned out pretty well despite everything. Queuing for hours at the registry office for a business permit was like meeting up with old friends—chatted and swapped stories while we ...
